There has been a lot of activity on the land recently, as teams from GSS Architecture joined us for two days of volunteering under their Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
They tackled a very messy corner where a previous tenant had left a chicken run, burnt out caravans and other debris. Barbed wire, netting and dilapidated fencing were all removed . Some materials were saved for re-use, others - including a bath and a kitchen sink! - were carried across three fields so they could be taken to the tip or recycled.
Working with great energy and enthusiasm, the teams enjoyed their days in the open air and even talked about coming back next year!
