About the Event

Meet at the 'Garth', the farm buildings bordering on to Harrogate Road, to be led into the heart of Knaresborough Forest Park for a meditation led by Christine from Claritas Therapy.

We will return to the Garth for an optional communal picnic after the session.

Bring a drink, a picnic and a rug if desired - seating will be provided.

Basic toilet facilities available.

Directions to the Garth (If you use What Three Words, the location is ///ponies.nowadays.staining)

Come by bus, on foot or by bike - no cars please!

NB NO PARKING or even dropping off at the farm site – this is too dangerous on the 50 mph stretch of road. Please also do not park on Bilton Hall Drive, as this is a private road and we have no right to park there. There are bus stops very close to the farm site or you can walk from Starbeck or Knaresborough.

Please contact us for disabled access.

We advise you to choose a route which avoids walking along the narrow pavement bordering the A59:

  • from Knaresborough: walk up the A59 from the bridge, then either continue up the road past Stevenson Place until you reach a large corrigated metal gate, or go over the stile into the field after Stevenson Place. Cross this field and you will see the farm buildings ahead of you over another stile.

  • from Starbeck: walk down the A59 until you reach a large corrigated metal gate into the farm area.

  • from Starbeck: walk along Bilton Hall Drive until you see the public footpath on the right and follow the footpath past the allotments. After you have gone through the gate at the bottom of the allotments, the footpath takes you through a hedge. Fork right approximately 20 metres after this and you will see a gate with a stile - cross these and you will see the farm buildings ahead of you.

  • by bus: get off the bus at the Golf Club and walk along Bilton Hall Drive until you see the public footpath on the right, then follow the directions above.

  • by bike: cycle to the Golf Club then down the A59 until you reach the farm buildings (you will see the bus stop opposite). Whichever direction you are coming in, this is safer than trying to cross the A59 if you are coming from Knaresborough.
